Salman Kureishi, Dubai, UAE
GEO & AI SEO Consultant in Dubai, UAE
Hi, I'm Salman. Since May 2025 I've been running a live generative engine optimization pilot for Schneider Electric, a Fortune 500 industrial manufacturer, across the US and Canada. I bring that same direct-answer, schema-first approach to content for businesses in Dubai and the UAE, built so ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity have an easier time reading it, quoting it and getting it right.
A live GEO pilot, not just a services page claim
TL;DR: Getting cited inside an AI answer, ChatGPT, an AI Overview, Perplexity, depends on how a page is put together, not just what it ranks for. I'm Salman Kureishi, and since May 2025 I've been running a live GEO pilot for Schneider Electric, a Fortune 500 manufacturer, across the US and Canada. Nobody can promise a specific citation. What a consultant can actually do is remove the structural reasons a model would skip a page in favor of a competitor's.
GEO & AI SEO services for Dubai-based businesses
This usually splits into five parts:
TL;DR & Direct-Answer Content
Moving the actual answer to the top of a page in plain language, so neither a person nor a model has to read through three paragraphs of setup to find it.
FAQ & Schema Markup
Marking up FAQPage, Service and Person data in code, not just on the page, so a crawler doesn't have to guess what a business does or who it serves.
AI-Crawlable Content Structure
Headings written as real questions and paragraphs kept short enough that a model can lift one section on its own without losing the surrounding context.
Enterprise GEO Pilot Methodology
The rollout discipline built for an active Fortune 500 pilot, brought down to a scale that fits a single business rather than a multinational one.
Traditional SEO + GEO Integration
Folded into an existing SEO engagement rather than sold as a second project, since the technical and content work underneath both is largely the same.
GEO process: from audit to AI visibility
The shape of the work, start to finish:
Audit existing content
Every key page gets checked for one thing: does it answer the question fast, or does it make a reader, and a model, dig for it.
Restructure & mark up
Copy gets reorganized around the answer first, then schema goes in underneath it, so the page reads well and parses well at the same time.
Build a prompt set
A list of the actual questions customers ask gets compiled and run across the major AI tools, giving a before-and-after baseline to measure against.
Monitor & adjust
That same prompt set gets rerun on a schedule, since AI citation tracking is still a manual, monthslong process rather than something an automated tool reports overnight.
What GEO actually is, and what it isn't
Strip away the acronym and GEO is really one habit: writing and organizing a page so a machine reading it can lift out a correct, self-contained answer without having to interpret tone, guess at structure, or piece information together from three different paragraphs. It isn't a trick for forcing a citation, and treating it that way wastes effort on the wrong thing.
Put simply: SEO chases a spot on the results page. GEO chases a spot inside whatever answer the AI system assembles from several sources at once. Both reward a technically sound, clearly written site, but a page can rank well and still get skipped by a model that finds it too hard to extract from cleanly.
Inside a live GEO pilot for a Fortune 500 manufacturer
Since May 2025, I've worked as a GEO and AI SEO contractor for Schneider Electric, a Fortune 500 industrial manufacturer, running a live generative engine optimization pilot across the US and Canada. The mandate is blunt: figure out what actually works for AI visibility at enterprise scale, then build the case for company-wide GEO adoption once the pilot proves it out.
That's a genuinely different vantage point from reading about GEO in a blog post or a competitor's services page. Running a pilot for an organization that size means dealing with real content governance, real legacy pages that weren't built with AI extraction in mind, and real internal stakeholders who need to see evidence before rolling a new content standard out across an entire company. Those are the same underlying problems a smaller Dubai business runs into, just at a different scale.
GEO vs traditional SEO: what's different for a Dubai business
Most of the same craft carries over between the two. A slow, poorly indexed site holds back both equally. Where they split is what's being optimized for: a search results position on one hand, a spot inside an assembled AI answer on the other, and those two things don't always move together even on the same page.
For a Dubai business, this rarely means starting a second content program. It means taking the SEO content already planned and adding a schema pass and a direct-answer rewrite on top of it, so the same page does both jobs. See the full SEO service page →
Common mistakes Dubai businesses make with AI search visibility
- Shipping pages with zero schema markup, leaving an AI crawler to guess at the subject of a page instead of reading it straight from the code.
- Opening every page with a long scene-setting introduction, which pushes the actual answer far enough down that both readers and models lose patience with it.
- Repeating a target keyword instead of answering the underlying question, a habit that now reads poorly to visitors and gets passed over by a model hunting for something quotable.
- Publishing FAQ text with no FAQPage markup behind it, so a genuinely good answer still doesn't parse cleanly as a question-and-answer pair.
- Dismissing AI tools as a passing trend instead of a real and growing part of how people research a purchase before they buy.
Why hire a GEO consultant with a live pilot, not an agency advertising the term
A growing number of Dubai agencies now market GEO and AEO services
GEO and AEO have become common line items on agency services pages in Dubai over the past year or two. That's a reasonable thing to offer given where search is heading, but a services page listing isn't the same as hands-on experience running a GEO program at scale.
I'm not describing GEO from the outside. Since May 2025 I've been running an active pilot for Schneider Electric, a Fortune 500 manufacturer, figuring out in real time what holds up and what doesn't when a large organization tries to adopt GEO practices company-wide. That's the perspective this service is built on, not a reworded definition pulled from someone else's blog post.
If a large-scale content and link-building program is what's needed, an agency team makes sense. If the goal is working directly with someone who's actually running live GEO work right now, not just marketing the term, a consultant is the more direct route.
GEO & AI search optimization for Dubai & UAE brands
Who this is for
This tends to run alongside an SEO or content engagement already underway for a Dubai B2B or consumer brand that wants its FAQ and service pages solid enough to survive an AI model quoting them out of context. On its own, GEO doesn't have much to work with, it needs the underlying content project to attach itself to. See Content Strategy → for how this fits into a wider content plan.
GEO & AI SEO tools & tracking stack
Semrush and Search Console confirm the technical and content groundwork is sound, while a fixed set of test prompts gets run by hand across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, since nothing on the market yet tracks AI citations with the reliability a standard rank tracker offers for classic SEO.

What people typically want to know about GEO and AI SEO before working with a consultant in Dubai.
What exactly does GEO (generative engine optimization) mean?
+
GEO is the discipline of writing and structuring a page so an AI system can lift a correct, self-contained answer out of it with no extra interpretation. In practice that means the direct answer sits early on the page, FAQ blocks carry schema markup, and headings map onto real questions instead of marketing labels. None of it guarantees a citation, but a page built this way clears the bar a model needs before it can quote anything at all.
How does GEO differ from traditional SEO?
+
Traditional SEO earns a position on the results page. GEO earns a place inside the answer a model assembles from several sources at once, which is a genuinely different target even when the content underneath overlaps. A page can sit at position one and still get passed over by a model that finds a competitor's page easier to extract cleanly.
Do you have real GEO experience, or is this theoretical?
+
Neither borrowed nor theoretical. I've been running a live GEO pilot for Schneider Electric, a Fortune 500 manufacturer, since May 2025, covering the US and Canada. What gets recommended here has already been tested against a real enterprise content library, not just written up as a concept.
What is the Schneider Electric GEO pilot?
+
As a GEO and AI SEO contractor for Schneider Electric's North American operation, I'm building the operating model the company would need to roll GEO out company-wide, not just fixing a handful of test pages. Working at that scale surfaces problems that never show up on a small site: legacy content, internal approval chains, and page templates that were never built with AI extraction in mind.
Can you guarantee my business will be cited by ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews?
+
No, and it's worth being wary of anyone who claims otherwise. Which sources a model decides to surface is entirely its own call, not something bought or engineered from outside. What's actually achievable is removing the structural reasons a model would skip a page in favor of a competitor's, which shifts the odds without pretending to control the outcome.
How much does GEO cost in Dubai?
+
It's rarely quoted as its own line item, since most of the work, restructuring content, adding schema, cleaning up technical debt, is work an SEO engagement already needs to do. Expect it to add a modest amount on top of an existing SEO scope rather than run as a second full budget.
If I already have SEO, do I still need GEO?
+
Possibly less than you'd expect. Content that already reads clearly and answers real questions directly is most of the way there. The usual gap is schema markup and a direct-answer format near the top, both additions to existing pages rather than a rebuild from zero.
What separates a model's parametric knowledge from retrieval?
+
A model's parametric knowledge is whatever got baked in during training, fixed until a new version ships. Retrieval, the mechanism behind ChatGPT's browsing mode and Google's AI Overviews, pulls fresh information the moment someone asks, through a live search step. Because retrieval updates constantly, that's the layer most GEO work targets, since a change there can surface within days rather than waiting on a future model release.
Why does query fan-out matter for GEO?
+
Rather than answering one query directly, many AI systems quietly split it into several related searches and merge the results into a single response. That means ranking for one exact phrase isn't enough. A page needs to hold up across the whole cluster of adjacent questions, pricing, alternatives, comparisons, the system may be running behind the scenes without ever showing the user.
Is Reddit worth factoring into a UAE GEO strategy?
+
Somewhat, though it carries less weight here than in a market like the US, where Reddit's local community density runs much higher. AI systems generally do favor first-person, unpolished community content, so a genuine presence in the right threads is worth building into a GEO plan, provided it reads as real participation rather than a marketing plant.
